Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Termination of Lease to our tenants notice

We, the landlord, have a month-to-month lease and would like to give the tenants notice to vacate but am unsure as to what reason I should give. We are in San Mateo county in Daly City, CA and don't want to get into any legal issues.

What type of letter is recommended?

Thanks.

Kath

I am unfamiliar with San Mateo rent stabilization laws, if any. A 30- or 60-day written notice (depending on longevity) with all of the appropriate language should suffice if there are no legal impediments.
