I was told to sign my 18 year old sons signature on my lease by my low income housing director. I told her he no longer would be living with me. Now im being threaten to pay $9100 or i will be evicted because of my sons income and he doesn't live with me at all. I'm so stressed because i have 3 other children and we have no where to live. What can i do??

I am a little confused by your question, but I am concerned that you have issues you don't even realize. If you forged your son's name, that could have serious consequences. It doesn't matter that someone told you to do it. I would strongly recommend you hire an attorney before saying anything else to anyone regarding that matter. I am not sure what the money they are asking you to pay is for. A bribe, past due rent? There is a process to evicting someone, so until they obtain legal papers, they cannot throw your things out on the street or change the locks. I would not recommend riding this thing out to the end, however. I would try to find another place and DO NOT sign anyone's name but your own. Trying to get an apartment for a lower rent by an illegal method will only get you free room and board at your local jail.
