Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

unlawful detainer

The Commisioner assigned to hear our case was substituted by another Judicial Officer and so was the plaintiff's attorney was substituted. Did the plaintiff's substituted attorney need to file a Judicial Council Substitution Forms with the Court Clerk?

We had a court trial yesterday and was continued for the 20th (tomarrow). The substituted attorney told the judge he cannot come to court the day after tomarrow, that another substituted attonney will be in place of the attorney of record and for himself.

Re: unlawful detainer

The substitution form should be filed, but can always be amended.

Your case will probably be continued.
