Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I have a unlawful detainer against me I made a payment plan with my landlord and his lawyer, i was late on 1 or 2 payments but I did pay. I just received a request for entry of default? What does that mean for me and my family?

I'm guessing here, because I don't have enough information. I suppose you signed an agreement for the landlord to forbear in evicting you if you remained current on your payment plan. If they've filed a request for entry of default, it means you haven't yet filed an answer to the UD complaint. You might try filing an answer the first thing in the morning to preserve your rights -- if the default hasn't already been entered. If it has been, you might seek out legal help to try to set aside the default as you have made your payments, although they've been late.
