Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Hi i had my unlawful detainer trial today of course lost and have a lock out for April 29, i also have a small claims suit against the landlord for entering the propery unannounced prior to issuing the 3 day notice. Is there anything i can file to buy me about 2 weeks, i have a hardship.

Many people petition the court for a stay of execution because of a hardship -- 40 years of accumulated property, kids finishing school, disability, etc. The court might grant a few weeks' extension, but require you to post the reasonable rental value for that period.

See if you can reach an agreement with the landlord in which you guarantee that you will leave on a date certain in mid May, as opposed to trying to get the eviction date continued.
