Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Utilities

Are there any specific laws stating who is responsible for paying the garbage utility and water utility in CA?

Is the landlord required to pay any utilities by law? I know that some states require the landlord to pay for the trash, etc.

Re: Utilities

Good question. If it is not on the lease, and there is no agreement as to utilities, you would be responsible. There is no law requiring landlord to pay utilities, trash, etc.
