Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

utility payments

After a year of paying for trash

service, my landlord has stopped.

The service is a year behind and the

cans have been removed. My lease

says 'No Utils'', but in a mulltifamily

building, doesn't the landlord have to

pay 2 utilities in this state? Does

utilities include trash and water?

Re: utility payments

You are incorrect. Landlord has no obligation to pay utilities.

You are also unclear as to the "No utilities" phrase. Is that couched in language indicating LL doesn't pay utilities, or tenant?

Yes! Utilities do include trash and water.
