Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California
Anger
My attorney went to court, I did not attend due to an illness. The decision did not go as I had hoped and when I tried to express my concerns she became angry and informed me she has spent too much time on my case, and may consider disqualifying me as a client. She also informed me that if I am not happy with the way she is handling my case, I am free to hire another attorney. She has been very hard to reach. My question is what can I legally do about her ''attitude?''

Attorneys have emotions just like anybody else. We get angry and frustrated with our clients just like any other profession. I have terminated clients for many reasons such as not paying my bill, not following my advice or just having a "bad vibe" about the client.
You have not described anything that would rise to the level of any violation of rules of professional ethics. Your attorney is correct in that you can fire her and hire someone else. It sounds like your relationship has soured, so I think you should follow her lead and retain another lawyer.
