Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

Attorney Talked Me Into a Bad Deal

I retained an attorney to handle a claim against a former employer. After some negotiations with them, the attorney ''convinced'' me to accept a deal that I was not happy with. As part of the ''convincing,'' the attorney gave me advice that, as it turns out, may not only cost me thousands of dollars but may also subject me to some legal liabilities of my own. Toward the end of the process, the attorney (in my opinion) stopped looking out for my best interest and was more concerned about getting ANY deal and getting the fee.
