.DON�T DO IT! and tell them you will report them to the bar if they don't knock it off. Also I would get another attorney right away. Obviously this lawyer has problems in their personal life that will affect their ability to help your wife with her legal issues.

I cannot stress enough how this behavior is unethical and contrary to the rules of professional conduct that governs our profession. You need to get as far away from them as possible and as quickly as possible.

Just fire them and find somebody else as no one is that good an attorney that you need to put up with this kind of behavior.
