auto repair shops
took my car in on 10/03/07, and when i went to take parts in, my car had no tires or wheels and was on the ground. i asked if owner would replace them, he said turn into your ins. co. i called sheriff and did a report. he claims he is not responsible. what should i do? i guess sue him. do i have a case?

You could bring suit in small claims court. You also might talk to your insurance agent and ask his/her suggestion. If you had comprehensive coverage, your carrier might pay you for your loss and then collect from the business owner.
Get together your checks or credit card receipts, from your purchase of the rim and wheels. If you don't have photographs of them on your car, take photographs of the rims and wheels on a similar car to show the court and your carrier what they looked like and how costly they were. You also might get a duplicate receipt from the vendor or a written estimate of their replacement value. Good luck.
