Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California
I am on the board of a 501c3 organization. We are looking to align our company with a larger 501c3 and transition the programs then basically turn over the helms to the new larger company. One of the founding board members is founding another similar 501c3 organization and would like transition the 501c3 to this new organization. I understand the paperwork involved in modifying the mission, board, etc. but since the original company is not being dissolved - can we actually do this?
