Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

Hi, I need to get a copy of my complete file from my attorney but he will not comply. I guess I have to go to court and see a judge in order for my attorney to release it to me. What steps do I have to take? Do I petition the court? Do I motion the court? I am doing this myself just to get my file. Thanks

Mr. Roach is correct. This is a direct violation of California professional responsiblity law. You will get faster results with the State Bar than a court.
