Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

Federal Tax Deductions

My previous employer did not take federal taxes out of my salary. She paid me as she would pay a bill, yet promised repeatedly that she would make good of all deductions. She never did, and the company folded owing me $2,000.00 for work already proformed. She also entered that amount into the company computer as an outstanding bill. What legal recourse do I have in this matter. How can I get monies, owed to me, and taxes on what I received reported?

Re: Federal Tax Deductions

the IRS will give you credit for all taxes deducted and the IRS will worry about collecting from the employer.
