Freedom of Information Act
When requesting information from a local government entity under the Freedom of Information Act is it propper or right that an employee advise elected officials of that government entity of the specifics of the request?

Re: Freedom of Information Act
When an employee of a government agency receives a FOIA request, it is entirely appropriate for that employee to let his boss know, and confer with his or her boss on whether the request is proper, and whether the requested information falls under the FOIA. That boss might happen to be an elected official. Where's the beef?
