Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California
My friend had a party that eventually concluded in a noise complaint. The cops came and two people acted as the renters of the house as to not raise suspition of the drunk and underage tennants who were inside. Eventually the cops found out who really lived there and talked to her, telling her to get her other roomates who were passed out and underage. This ammounted to no problems but when the cop got angry about the two people possing as the renters, he proceeded to yell and sware at both the two guys and my friend who lived there. Also, the other cops were both rude and flirting with the drunk girls that left the place, as well as other police officers mocking others. My friend ended up getting two $1000 noise complaints that have to be paid within ten days or else apealed for $800. No underage drinking sitations were given however. Do the police officers actions warrent any type of defense against these noise violations tickets?

Sure, just like the police running a redlight on the way to serve a warrant for your arrest is a defense to your murder charges.
If you think the police were out of line, file a complaint with the San Diego P.D. citizen complaint dept. Of course a full blown investigation might result in under-age drinking charges, contributing to the delinquency charges, making a false statement to a police officer charges, etc. But hey, knock yourself out.
If I mock you, are you going to sue me for legal malpractice?
