Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

My hair is ruined

Recently I agreed to be a hair model for a very well known company. In the end, they ended up chopping off nearly all of my hair and now it looks absolutely horrendous. This is not what the stylist and I agreed upon, and I was also assured that whatever they did I would be able to manage on my own on a daily basis but now I can't even look at myself in the mirror. Unfortunately I did sign a contract, but I didn't read it carefully. They also did not give me a copy of the contract. In order to fix my hair, it is going to cost me $1,000 for hair extensions because it's either that or my self esteem for the next year. Is there anything that I can do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: My hair is ruined

You need to demand a copy of the contract. Once you have that, you can determine if you have a case. However, my guess is that the contract allowed them to cut your hair. If it did, you would not have a case. Get the contract and find an attorney to review it for you. In the future, do not sign anything like this without having an attorney review it prior to signing it.
