Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

I am being harassed at my job by my supervisor & a co-worker. I have spoken to the vice president & the owner about it & no one seems to want to do anything about it & it is becoming harder to prove because they are trying to be discrete. My supervisor is using the death of my fiance to make it seem like it is all in my head, but it is not. I have been harassed for 6 months now & am wondering, is it legal to use audio surveillance at my job to prove I am the victom of harassment & unfair treatment.

No, it is not legal. Some states allow surreptitious taping. However, California is not one of them. It is a crime to knowingly tape another person without their knowledge in California.

There is nothing to stop you from posting a notice that you are recording all conversations. But they are not likely to be foolish enough to harass you if they know they are being recorded. Not to mention your colleagues' likely unfavorable reaction.
