Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

Is it to late now?

Hi - I'm the one that posted "fee dispute", and although I received alot of help, I couldn't wait any longer to get that money. I have 2 children, and I'm homeless. I was afraid of losing my kids to CPS. So I agreed to the 50,000.00. Can I still file for fee arbitration? Or at least file a complaint on this attorney? It kills me, he's getting away with this - But I had no choice,he had me backed into a corner and he knew it . I just don't want him to do this to somebody else. Please say its not to late to do something - anything. All I want is a little justice. HELP!

it is not too late to complain to the state bar. What you should have done is notify him you are disputing the fee. he is supposed to put the fee in a trust account until it is settled and pay the rest of the money to you now. I would write him now and demand that he do so.
