Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California
For the past few months, I have been asking my atty to send me a bill and proof of payments for court costs & for other attys she said she had paid. My atty refuses to send me a bill, but says that I owe her more money. An appeals court hearing is coming up & my atty is representing me. But she is putting pressure on me to pay her, or else........

It sounds like you're between a rock and hard place. If you don't pay until she gives you the itemization, then she might not do the necessary work. If you do pay, you don't know what you're paying. I agree with Mr. Selik. Take a look at the fee agreement.
