Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California
Paying bills for deceased.
Am I responsible to pay for the ambulance bill, even if I had dual power of attorney? Should I write to the collection agency with proof of death certificate?
thank you.

The power of attorney ceases to be legally effective after the principal dies. You have no power to do anything, unless you are the next of kin.
