Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

search warrent

can the police legally enter my home with no search warrent.With no one on probation, or parole. Except for a bench warrent for me.And legally search my house with me right there.under arrest and still search my house.They also just walked in. without knocking first. they said the door was open,even though we (my childern and I were asleep), and just came on in ant way.
