Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California
I walked out of dentist office paid in full.
A yr later they say I owe $500. How do I contest this? It
has gone to a credit agency. I feel like I have been robbed . I
have very good credit and pay all my bills on time .

I would talk to the dentist directly and tell her what is going on, and why you're hesitating to go back for follow-up visits. If that doesn't help, then demand a written accounting from the creditor/credit agency.
