Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in California
Attorney claims to have opened case in court and produced documents with case number that is no where to be found in court system. Charging excessive amount for nothing to be any different and saying gping to need more.

Have you talked to the attorney? Find out in what court it was filed. Sometimes courts take a little time to post filed documents on the electronic register. Feel free to email the "filed" documents to me and I'll see if I can glean more information from them. If a statute of limitation is running, it must be done quickly.
