Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in California

how to choose malpractice attorney?

Some malpractice attorneys appear very active in the local Bar regarding ethical issues...my concern is they may have too much comraderie with their peers. Should I worry about one who is ensconced and choose a maverick instead for the best representation against another lawyer?
