Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in California

Conflict of interests?

After settlement of a case, for a very low amount, I had with my mother over propriety we purchased together; I came to find out that my Lawyer�s daughter worked for my mother during the two-year process. The daughter also worked in my lawyer�s office, shouldn't that have been a conflict of interest? Please advise, Thank you
