Do I have grounds for legal malpractice lawsuit

Do I have grounds for a legal malpractice lawsuit when the representing attorney fails to send or communicate time sensitive issues and documents in your case until there is no longer a window to legally respond pending result the time sensitive issues were never addressed which resulted in jail time for the attorney's client?

If an expert can show with a reasonable probability that completion of the documents would have made a difference and you (or the client) suffered significant harm, then there might be a case. Malpractice cases are very costly and attorneys generally do not want to sue other lawyers.
