Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in California

need to qualify that family law attorneys stipulated to child support a

need to qualify if family law attorneys stipulated to child support and it was in fact not the final determination of the court at trial as they led client to believe. So far no record of stipulation in file. Judges' decision was for family support, no amount specified for child support. Temp child support went from $2650 to $1275 spousal was due to discontinue, children were 3, mother extended spousal support of $2,000 beyond length, any clues out there? total family support awarded $3275, temporary support had been $5875 if that helps. Thanks!

You are welcome, but I really cannot help.

Go to your current attorney, and get a statement (written) concerning the stipulation.

Judges usually rubber stamp them (stipulations), but the judge has very broad powers.

Also, where another lawyer is involved, and I only know your side, more often than not I agree with the lawyer.

Finally, you can always hire and fire attorneys.
