Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in California

Reinstating my former Attorney

I am the plantiff in an arbitration matter which is scheduled to be heard this coming Friday. I recently met with my former attorney who wanted to discuss a possible resolution. He informed me I still had a ''good case'' on the civil matter for which he was originally retained, and would like, along w/his partners to re-represent me. He also mentioned the fact that he did not like the idea of being ''sued'' as he had never been sued before.

The civil matter for which my former atty was originally retained in January 2003 was for personal injury and property damage as a result of exposure to toxic mold and asbestos.

Can I possibly benefit from this relationship again? And if not, would be the ramifications?

You left out a lot of important details like why you fired him in the first place. Are you currently represented by legal counsel? Did the former attorney screw up the case and cause you monetary harm?
