Legal Question in Mediation in California
Court ordered restitution
I received a court ordered restitution for $610.00 3 years ago when the defendant went to prision. He is now out of prision and making money and I want to be paid. He is in CA and I am in IL. He was a minor at the time of the offense.

While you can certainly go after him, you should also consider whether the effort required to chase someone down in another part of the country is worth it.
In my experience, it will cost you more than $600 to go after the money.
Re: Court ordered restitution
If he was in prison, he's likely on probation -- contact the county district attorney where the offense occurred, and find out who his probation officer is. My guess is that a call to the probation officer will get you your money pretty quickly.
