Legal Question in Mediation in California
Engagement Ring
My fince (now ex) and I broke
up recently on mutual terms
(could not agree on wedding
date of all things!) and she has
not given me back the 50k+
ring. Is this a case for Small
Claims court (didn't think it was
because of dollar amount
involved) and if not, what
should be my next step in
getting the ring back. Many
Thanks.

Re: Engagement Ring
The ring is yours and she is obligated to return it to you. There is a Civil Code Section that directly applies to your situation.
This is not a case for small claims. If you would like to pursue this further, please contact me directly.
Best of Luck.
Re: Engagement Ring
I remember this question from law school. You can hire me to send her a polite letter explaining why legally it is yours. Contact my office.
