Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

Dr. found guilty of performing surgeries while on painkillers

The dr. that performed my knee surgery 3 years ago, has been found guilty of performing surgeries during that time while on painkillers. Several pro athletes filed the original claim citing that he ruined their careers. My knee continues to be a problem for me so I've decided to go to a different doctor and see if there is anything wrong with it. I don't want to mention the fact that the dr. was drugged up while doing the surgery since I know doctors look out for each other and it would give him grounds to potentially claim I need to have surgery again when maybe I don't. How do I go about finding out if the doctor screwed up my knee surgery or not. I have a videotape of the surgery.
