Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

Failed to informed me of ekg results

My son faited, last year and I took him to see his pediatrician. The doctor exam him, and ask me to go get an EKG done at the local hospital. EKG done and results were sent to the pediatrician. Since doctor never got back with me, I assumed, results were normal. My son went in cardia arrest, two weeks ago. He now has a AICD implanted in his chest. I requested, last year's EKG results to give to his cardiologist, and the results are abnormal.

Yes, this is malpractice. If the doctor's failure to give you the results contributed to his current damages, it would be a case.

There is not much doubt but there is medical negligence. The issue is whether this negligence caused him any damages, and if so, what and are they sufficient to justify a lawsuit. Please feel free to call me or some other qualified lawyer to discuss this if you want. Initial consultation is free in medical malpractice cases.

This is a failure to diagnose malpractice issue. As stated, I do believe that if the results could have prevented said occurrence of cardia arrest in your son that there is a case. The other issue, as mentioned, is the question as to the damages suffered.

Although this sounds like malpractice, exercise in caution is recommended. I would first have the EKG reviewed by an expert as well as his other medical records.

I'd be happy to review your son's medical records free of charge if you have them. Good luck.
