Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California
Guy's Question
Can I take legal action against a medical group for not notifying my wife the results of a ultrasound in a timely manner? She had it done in Feb because of discomfort. Three months after the ultrasound, during a checkup because of continued discomfort, the same doctor's office looked at her file and said ''Didn't our staff notify you the result of your ultrasound, you have a cyst on your uterus?''

there may very well be malpractrice and you cansue. However, but the real question is, so what? Will she die because of the delay, lose her uterus because of the the delay. In addition to bad acts by the doctor one needs to prove that as a result of the bad acts the patient was harmed. Please see an attorney with the records if you wish deeper analysis.

Yes, you and your wife may have a case. The question is, what damages suffered because did not act on the information sooner.
