Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California
Hi,
I would ask if service by mail rule to extend response up to 5 calendar days can apply for CCP 425.11 when plaintiff responds on "Request for statement of damages". By CCP 425.11 it says that a response should be served with 15 days of the service of such request. So I would know if I can extend this deadline for 5 more days serving it by mail that gives me total of 20 calendar days. I assume it is calendar days, not business days.

If the request had been mailed, the 5-day rule applies.
