Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

I was at the hospital to perform cardiovascular stress test. During preparation, the nurse did a vein injection while I was sitting on a chair. Immediately after injection I felt light headed, I informed the nurse about it, then, the nurse asked me to go wait in the hallway for few minutes before the test start. When I stood up, I lost conscious and free fallen onto the back of my head. When I gained back my conscious I was on the floor bleeding, then I was transferred to emergency for head injury (concussion) treatment. Aside from the pain and headache that lasted few weeks, till now, after the wound has healed, I still suffer from frequent disorientation.

What are my options?

What are the possible outcomes?

It is impossible to provide an answer to your question without more information. We need to know why you fainted in the first place. As for disorientation, it could be due to your head striking the floor resulting in MTBI (mild traumatic brain injury).

You need to get your medical records and be closely examined by an internist (for the injection you got to rule out medication related side effects causing disorientation), neurologist and neuro-psycholigist (to rule out MTBI).

Good luck,
