Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

Informed Consent for Restalyne in Rhinoplasty?

This is a bit hard to describe but basically after having rhinoplasty there is a dark shadow on the bridge of my nose (because there is a whole in that area). I asked the Dr. why I had that but he denied there even being a problem at first. I cant go into details of everything that has gone on between me and this Dr (3 chin implant surgeries and 2 on rhinoplasty AND now I need 4th surgery for chin and a revision rhinoplasty). He filled in the whole in my nose but he didnt tell me what it was, any risks, NOTHING. Now I have to get revision and I have no idea how this is going to effect my revision.

Was my doctor supposed to obtain informed consent or tell me anything about the consequences of having the silicone injection in my nose?

ALSO I have asked this Dr in writing to send me my before and after pics. He cropped out my chin in one of the pics, which he knows is one of the things he will eventually get into trouble for. What is his liability for altering a before and after my cropping out my chin. I told him about it and he said it wasnt fully downloaded, BUT IT WAS because the size was the same as the fully downloaded pics. Also I am pretty sure the color has been adjusted, this makes me look a little better.

Re: Informed Consent for Restalyne in Rhinoplasty?

Your question needs an answer from an expert (plastic surgeon) to ascertain whether the doctor fell below the standard.
