Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

In june of 2010, i had carpal tunnel repair surgery done on my left hand. by the end of august 2010, my hand had atrophied so bad that it is now useless. orthopedic surgeon has sent me to see neurologist and neurosurgeon. they in turn have sent me to stanford university medical dept. lots of tests, scans, etc. still no explanation on why my hand is in the condition it's in.

could this be a potential malpractice lawsuit?

i'd very much appreciate any advice on the matter.

thank you,

debra l. atkins
