Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California
malpractice?
After having been admitted to be induced to labor nearly two weeks past my due date there were complications. On day two, the second drug that was given had failed to produce labor just as the first drug had. Though the second drug had also affected my unboorn child negativly causing his heartbeat to slow quickly and dramaticaly. This concerned me a great deal but I tried to have faith in the Dr. and his knowledge. Though I objected, the doctor deceided to try this drug a second time and when our unborn child(now a full two weeks past full-term), responded just the same as he had before, we beleaved the dr. might finally worry as well. The third time the doctor sugested trying this drug, we objected and threatned to leave the hospital. Four days after having been admitted, we were told we would be able to speek with the next Dr. coming on. When he arrived, he apologized for the poor care we had received and said that a c-section would be scheduled right away. At this point, we are terrified to have another child after all we went through
