2 years ago my husband was having a stroke the hospital said it was bell paulsey they did nothing he then had a second one a few day later and went back after calling 911 .they said he had high blood pressure and was having a stroke and sent him home by this time he had no feeling in his left side .he then had a third one we called 911 agian he was seeing triple could not walk or talk well he would get incoherant he could not even tie his shoes if they had given him medication the first time he would not of had two more he finally got medication and has not had any more it has taken years for him to recover , and still has no feeling in his left side what can i do

You should immediately get the case reviewed by a competent med mal lawyer. And you need to have that attorney send an notice of intent to sue to the hospital and the ER Physicians that saw your husband. The Statute of limitations issue is complicated since generally, with some exceptions and special rules, the one year statute begins to run from the time the injured party discovered or reasonably should have discovered the injury and its negligent cause. I think a good portion of the case can be salvaged, though, from the potential SOL problem.

Your attorney would need to find a doctor that is willing to testify that your husbands problems are the result of actual malpractice and not just a bad result. There are no guarantees in medicine. Your husband may not be a victim of malpractice. Good luck.
