Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

medical malpractice

what is the time limit for medical malpractice? i was a minor in foster care and i was partially paralyzed in 1999 but i had my last surgery in 2004. does the time start from the first time the doctor made the mistake or the last time the doctor made the mistake or would it be when i realized that the doctor made the mistake. like i said i was in foster care and i was 12 when the doctor made the first mistake and can the time limit be extended because my insurance keeps sending me to the same doctor so i am still seeing him and i am still having problems from his mistakes. please help me

Re: medical malpractice

Your question is very fact dependent. You need to consult a qualified med mal lawyer who will look at everything and determine if it makes any sense to prosecute a med mal case. I a lawyer says no, ask for the specific reasons. Then get a second opinion.

If a lawyer is not willing to invest his time, then forget it.
