Maybe. You should have the case reviewed. An attorney will review the case without charge to determine whether it is worth pursuing, and pursue the case on a contingency basis if it is warranted.

You would have to consult with a pharmacology expert to find out if there is a fatal interaction between the drugs he was taking, and whether the pharmacist knew that he was taking all of the drugs.

The same holds true with the doctor. If the doctor did know of the other drugs, and it was a fatal interaction that caused his death, there could be grounds for a malpractice claim.

On the other hand, sometimes people just die for no reason. A prudent lawyer will always consult with a specialist before even taking on such a client and filing a lawsuit.

Sorry to hear about your and your daughter' loss.

I do med-mal and have to tell you that there are no HBP meds that would be contraindicated with Oxycontin where it would cause death. Thus, perhaps you do not have the full picture here.

Did he OD on Oxy? If so, that's a different issue.

What does it say on his death certificate for cause of death? Was an autopsy done?

These are some of the questions that I would need to know before giving you proper advice.
