Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

I recently got INVISALIGN braces for my upper and lower teeth. Yesterday I had to visit my Orthodontist so brackets could be put on my upper and lower incisors. The procedure requires that a type of acid be used. During the procedure the dental assistant who was placing the brackets on my teeth noticed something was wrong and began wiping my mouth with water and a cloth and she asked me if I am allergic to latex gloves to which I responded no and she continued with the procedure. I began to feel my bottom lip burn then it felt as if it was on fire and it still does. When the Orthodontist saw my lip she freaked out and began asking me questions and she gave me an aloe ointment. Today my lip is swollen to about 3 times its normal size and it is in extreme pain. It is extremely red with 2 huge white blisters coming off of my bottom lip and the corners of my lip there is bruising developing and my lip bleeds when I try to take off the ointment they gave me to heal my lip. I know I need to visit a doctor but what are my legal options if any? Thank you very much for listening to my long incident. Any help would be appreciated.

You mentioned you're not alergic to latex. So, first you need to know the cause of swelling. Only after that your case can be evaluated properly. Get medical help now and find out what went wrong.
