Surgery Malupractice Question

3 years ago, after heart bypass,a person got a strong stroke right after the surgery. Can we open a case after three years?

the statute of limitations does not start until an injury is actually discovered, not necessarily at the time of the operation in your case. however you would have to show strong evidence and proof that the stroke was directly caused by some type of medical malpractice in respect to the heart operation. it could be very lengthy to prove and could get quite expensive in legal and expert witness costs. if you have such proof or evidence, email me with it for further assistance.
