divorce and BAH

i am active duty navy and about to petition for a divorce. when do i have to worry about my BAH stopping. Does it stop while the divorce is being processed or when i am actually legally divorced in 6 months.

Entitlements to BAH/with, stop on the date of divorce; unless you have providisions for child support. If you have a child support obligation you may be entitled to some BAH because of that.

Be very careful, and make sure you check with PSD, and stay on top of them to get the paperwork accurate.

Most of my BAH fraud clients usually end up in trouble because of Zip-Code errors, or failure to stop an entitlement.
