Legal Question in Military Law in California

Military and Adultry

I am a military spouse who is the process of divorce (papers not yet filed) and was involved with a different military member. He has been charged with adultry. He is hard working and has not done anything wrong other than be with me. What is likely to happen to him, do they discharge over this? I dont know how they found out about our relationship.

Re: Military and Adultry

Adultery is a serious charge in the military. It is usually ignored unless pressed by the spouse. Any number of disciplinary measures could be taken against the service member. But at this point, until there is something on the table, the soldier should simply avoid contact with you and work hard to avoid discipline.

Once he is divorced and the divorce is final, then you can lawfully be together. Until then, you cannot if he is to avoid sanctions.
