Legal Question in Military Law in California

help needed asap

son in law was covicted of sodomy-sentenced to 25 years-no physical evidence- all witnesses impeached by judge-NCIS admitted to not questioning any others and to a witch hunt(judges words) x-wifes brother lived at the home at time of incident and was charged with sex w/child under 12 in another state-alledged victim changed story 3 times when questioned by judge-admitted to being coached by parents and x-wife-prosecuting attorneys conceeded to lose while judge deliberated because of impeachment of all testemony. With all this how can a judge impose this kind of punishment? What do we do next? This all stems from an ex-wife who told him that she would destroy him and new family for cutting off her cash flow and housing allowance. We just learned that his pay and rank will be dropped and after 13 years of service and 2 children under 2yrs old, along with the stress of this injustice, will put a temendous strain on not only the family and marriage, but on the children themselves with daddy not coming home ever. Please help, we are from minnesota, but as of now he isin pendelton brig and is not allowed phone calls or visits (visits are weekends and holidays only) Also his defense attys presented no defense, except to dismiss.
