Legal Question in Military Law in California
My son joined the army in November 2009. After basic, he was moved to a base in CA and his wife and three children joined him. Since that time, his pay has been terribly messed up. The base housing is subtracted from his pay and they are still taking out for meals as though he resides in the barracks. He is only getting $352 per pay after housing.(pvt 1st class) The family food allowance is not there. He has tried to straighten it out but to no avail. He is barely making ends meet although he has submitted all essential information and documents to finance. At his base, a senior rank must represent him to finance and he is not permitted to represent himself. He cannot make a car payment and has had to borrow money to manage. What can he do to solve his issue as quickly as possible?
