UA Question
How many days do you have to be UA until they put your name
in the system and you are red flagged?

Except for unusual situations most commands wait 30 days. At that point you are declared a deserter and a federal arrest warrant is issued. A large proportion of the UA/AWOL (and I'm assuming you to be a Marine or Navy), are arrested by police while driving. The person then spends a few days in the local jail until the Absentee Collection Unit from Great Lakes, Quantico, or San Diego come get you.
