Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

accident and injury

I was involved in an accident where i steer to close to the curb and hit other park vehicles on the street. A pedestrian was on the street and was badly injured. She has an attorney and is suing me. My insurance only covers a percentage of what she wants from me. How can I protect my assest? What can she legally attend from me?

Re: accident and injury

Your insurance carrier should do everything it can to settle the claims within the policy limits. If it can't get releases from everyone, you potentially could be liable for all of the property damage and medical bills over its payments.

You need to contact an attorney who specializes in asset protection.

Next time, purchase insurance with higher policy limits!

Good luck
